On Monday, November 25, 2024, in the elegant surroundings of the Members’ Private Dining Room at Guildhall, I had the profound honour of being admitted to the Freedom of the Company of Entrepreneurs. It was truly a moment of a lifetime, an achievement I will cherish forever.
An Event Steeped in History
The setting could not have been more fitting for receiving the Freedom of the City of London, conferred at Chamberlain’s Court at Guildhall. Overlooking the storied Guildhall Yard and the iconic St Lawrence Jewry, the Private Dining Room exuded the gravitas and heritage of centuries of tradition. Standing in such a historic venue, among the echoes of the great figures of the past, was humbling beyond words.
A Personal Milestone
This was not just an event; it was a celebration of a personal milestone. To receive this honour—a recognition of a journey filled with hard work, dedication, and a passion for entrepreneurship—was deeply moving. I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to join the ranks of those who have come before me, contributing to the legacy of the Company of Entrepreneurs.

A Ceremony to Remember
The ceremony itself was conducted with grace and dignity, marking the final Freedom Ceremony of the Master’s year of office. While the official dress code suggested a lounge suit, the room was alive with elegance as most attendees arrived in evening dress (white tie), reflecting the evening’s significance.
Gratitude and Reflection
As I reflect on this moment, I feel immense gratitude to the Company of Entrepreneurs, its leadership, and my fellow Freemen for their support and fellowship. This achievement is a reminder of the enduring values of entrepreneurship and the strength of community.
Join the Legacy
If you’re a Freeman Entrepreneur but have yet to apply for the Freedom of the City of London, I encourage you to begin this process. The journey is as meaningful as the destination, and the experience of joining this historic lineage is one of a kind.
